History of Media HaBeit
Media HaBayit (M.H.) is
an Israeli media publishing amd Internet design house, based in Tel
Aviv.
Services offered by M.H. include Internet
journalism, marketing, and publishing services. Also, English, Spanish,
and Hebrew are spoken here.
On August 2001, Media HaBayit was founded in Queens, New York. The
origninal spelling of the business name was Media
HaBeit. The names is a translitteration of the Hebrew words
for media of the house. It was founded to produce
affordable graphic design for the Jewish and South Asian communities of
New York.
In 2002, Media HaBeit became a full-fledged
Internet design firm helping small businesses and companies with the
Internet and Internet-related information technology needs. That year,
M.H.'s New York City customer list included: AHA
Corporation, publishers of the NYC-area Iranian Yellow Pages,
Barter
Advantage, INC., the oldest and one of the most major players
in the International barter industry, the Miss Bangladesh 2002 Pageant,
Prestige
Glam, Amba Travels and Randall Tyslinger Antiques (no longer
in business due to the economy), and the America Bangladesh Friendship
Society.
On March 3,2003, Barry Davidson, Media HaBayit (nee Media HaBaeit)
founder, moved himself to Jerusalem, Israel. There he focused on
learning the Hebrew language. In the city he learned at urban
ulpans (governmental, municial based, Hebrew school) Beit HaAm and Beit HaNoar.
On February 21, 2004, Mr. Davidson moved
to Tel Aviv., Media HaBeit continued to
grow, with its base operations in Tel Aviv, the media capital of
Israel. Affiliate operations and affiliations will be maintained in New
York.
In 2003, M.H.'s tried it first attempt at producing
an Internet-based media product. Its name was Merkazah
(Hebrew for towards the center)--a cyber-community,
which packages Israeli and World Zionist diaspora music with news,
opinion and Israeli weather reports.
On December 2005, Media HaBeit, changed it
English-language spelling to Media HaBayit. That to reflect
The ultimate goal of M.H. is to become one of the
top International media firms with a strong foot-hold in the Internet
design and product generation businesses.
During that time, Media HaBayit designed websites for Sinai Calif-Israeli (http://www.sinaiart.com), Amnon Hoftman, http://www.amnonlandscape.com and the former Gallery HaSharon, which was located in Ramat HaSharon, Israel.
From summer 2006, Barry Davidson took a break from the business in order to go back to school. He started studying at a branch of Open University of Israel, located at Ramat Gan College.
In May 2007, Barry is relaunching Media HaBayit. The business is based in Tel Aviv.
